  Thank you for email to the Office of Inspector General ( OIG ) 
of the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding your concerns 
about BCIT (Bancorp International Group).  We appreciate your 
bringing this information to our attention.

  Please be advised that the OIG 's primary functions are to 
perform audits of SEC operations, programs, activities, functions 
and organizations, and to conduct investigations of alleged staff 
(and contractor) misconduct.  The OIG , therefore, has no direct 
authority over the DTCC.  However, the OIG did perform an audit 
of the SEC Division of Enforcement's practices related to naked 
short selling complaints and referrals, and you may review our 
audit report at

In addition, the OIG opened an inquiry into recent complaints we 
have received regarding the SEC's alleged failure to act 
regarding BCIT.  That inquiry is ongoing and we will provide you
